Planting with a Purpose

A garden bursting with ripe tomatoes, zucchini, parsley, strawberries, peppers, chives, okra and parsnips is the result of a summer project Sustainability Studies students have been working on with the Town of Hempstead’s ANCHOR program and the department of Conservation and Waterways. The Hofstra students and Program Director Annetta Centrella-Vitale are providing support and mentorship with the garden project.
