Biochemistry Major Becomes Hofstra’s First Goldwater Scholar

Joseph Mancuso, a junior biochemistry major, has been named Hofstra University’s first Goldwater Scholar. Considered the preeminent award for undergraduate students studying the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics, this year’s 396 Goldwater Scholars were selected from over 5,000 sophomores and juniors nominated nationwide.
