Suburban Swing Voters in 2018

Amid a climate of increasing political polarization and with the midterm elections fast approaching, Hofstra University on Tuesday, April 17 will sponsor a day-long series of discussions about a decisive constituency: suburban voters.  The Uncertain Suburbs: Trump, Congress, and Swing Voters, co-sponsored by the Peter S. Kalkow Center for the Study of the American Presidency and the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University®, will examine what motivates suburban voters, as well as how hot-button issues ranging from immigration reform to environmental policy will affect the upcoming elections.
