Education published research with STEM Education Program Director Dr.
Amy Catalano on science knowledge among elementary school teachers
in the IAFOR
Journal of Education.

Alana Durkin ’18 and Lauren Asselta ’18, both alums of the dual-degree in Early Childhood & Childhood Education: STEM program, co-authored “Exploring the Relationship between Science Content Knowledge and Science Teaching Self-Efficacy among Elementary Teachers.” Dr. Catalano, Durkin and Asselta surveyed pre-service and in-service elementary science teachers on their confidence in teaching science.
