Data Analytics Changes the Game for Today’s Engineers

The 17th and 18th centuries saw the birth of the Industrial Revolution. The latter half of the 20th Century spawned the computer and internet revolution. Now, in the 21st Century, we have embarked on a new path: The Industrial Internet. It is a world where machines employ physics and predictive analytics to make near split-second real-time decisions on behalf of humans, some of which can literally mean life and death. And there is an emerging need for engineers who can confidently and effectively harness business intelligence and data analytics in a wide variety of fields.
