New 11-month EMBA Program Debuts

Rising business leaders looking for a fast-track to the c-suite can earn an Executive MBA (EMBA) in less than a year as part of a newly redesigned program at Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business.

Hofstra’s new EMBA, which can be completed in 11 months, is among the most efficient programs of its kind in the nation. By comparison, most EMBA programs usually take between 18 months and two years.

The program includes online and on-site coursework, five in-person residencies, a global practicum and a partnership with the globally recognized, scientifically based Hogan Development Survey to provide each student with individualized leadership assessment and executive coaching.

“Our EMBA program is designed for ambitious, mid-career professionals with busy lives and demanding schedules,” said Zarb School Dean Janet Lenaghan. “We’ve built an intensive, high-quality program that provides remarkable value.”

The curriculum focuses on five, key themes: leadership, analytics, resource management, innovation and investments, and strategy. Students take two to three courses around each theme, which then culminate in a residency that provides networking with top-level executives from a variety of industries.

Hofstra’s EMBA program is open to those with a minimum of seven years’ progressive managerial experience. It does not require a GMAT. For more information about the newly launched EMBA, go to
