Containing the Coronavirus

Washington Post

Jean-Paul Rodrigue, professor of global studies and geography, was interviewed by the Washington Post about the intensive cleaning the Diamond Princess cruise ship will have to undergo, following a coronavirus outbreak onboard that killed at least two and infected more than 600 people. Dr. Rodrigue, who has written about transportation and pandemics, told the Post he expects the cruise operator to show off plenty of photos of the cleaning process to offer reassurance to the public.

Dr. Rodrigue has also been interviewed by other media outlets about the coronavirus cruise ship outbreak and impact of the illness on global trade. Recent interviews include:

Bloomberg: “Deaths Hit 1,115; Data Signal Spread May Be Easing: Virus Update”
