A Return Engagement for Hensrud at Café Sabarsky

Adjunct Professor of Music Tammy Hensrud will perform in concert at the Viennese-inspired Café Sabarsky in the Neue Galerie in Manhattan on Thursday, November 14.

Hensrud will be singing an evening of cabaret with bass-baritone Robert Osborne and pianist Richard Gordon in an evocative program titled Alma Mahler:  Muse or Viper? that draws from both classical and popular works to present.

Once regarded as “the most beautiful woman in Vienna,” Alma Mahler was romantically involved with the greatest artists of her day, from Kokoshka and Klimt to Gustav Mahler, Alexander Zemlinsky, Walter Gropius and Franz Werfel. Songs and duets by Mahler, Johann Strauss, Korngold, Weill, Berg, Lehar, Holländer, Schoenberg, and Tom Lehrer.

Neue Galerie is located at 1048 Fifth Avenue on 86th Street in Manhattan. Visit the website for ticket information.
