Dr. Alan SingerSchool of Education professor and expert on public education issues, was quoted in an article by NPR’s WSHU Public Radio.

Dr. Singer commented on a proposal to eliminate the Regents exam in New York. He explains that since Federal law requires high school testing in English, math and science, but not history, this exam could be the first to go. He also cites Long Island teachers’ concern that the history curriculum could fall by the wayside as a result.
