During the three-year term, Dr. Gonzalez will promote NSCA activities and interests throughout the state and represent the organization in academic affairs. He will also attend regional and state clinics, and will be involved in the planning and organization of a state clinic that will be held at Rutgers University this May.
Dr. Gonzalez is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with distinction with the NSCA, a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning profession around the world. He has presented at several NSCA national conferences, and is also an associate editor for the organization’s Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, for which he has authored or co-authored 15 papers.
At Hofstra, Dr. Gonzalez teaches undergraduate courses in the BS in Exercise Science program as well as graduate courses in the MS in Sports Science in the School of Health Professions and Human Services.
