In an op-ed for NBCNews.com, Prof. James Sample of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law and co-author Gowri Ramachandran of Southwestern Law School discuss nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s fitness for the Supreme Court. “A judge’s personal commitment to the truth remains a job requirement,” they write. “Does being an entitled teenager who drinks too much in high school and college disqualify one from the Supreme Court? No. But lying repeatedly and brazenly under oath should.”
Prof. Sample was also featured in a San Francisco Chronicle article that examined issues such as sexual assault and presidential powers, where Kavanaugh might need to recuse himself if he was a Supreme Court justice.
