When the Accuser Stands Accused

In her regular column for CNN.comKara Alaimo, PhD, a public relations professor in the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, discusses recent reports that actress Asia Argento, whose accusations of sexual assault against producer Harvey Weinstein helped launch the #MeToo movement, had been accused of sexual assault herself.  In the months after she publicly came forward against Weinstein, Argento allegedly paid $380,000 to a young man who claimed she sexually assaulted him five years earlier when he was 17 and she was 37.
