An alum of Hofstra’s School of Education, Gary Colletti, appeared as guest on the podcast show, The Teacher’s Lounge, which engages teachers in discussions on contemporary issues in education and learning.
Colletti shares his experience as a teacher turned education policy associate and the changes he has seen in the field of education over the past 15 years.
Colletti graduated from Hofstra’s MSEd in Social Studies program in 2000. For 14 years, he taught social studies and philosophy at public high schools in New York City and Richmond, Virginia. After receiving a master’s degree in education policy at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at George Washington University, Colletti now works as an education policy associate for the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE).
