Four of the best teams in the nation are headed to Hempstead, New York this Saturday for the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals at Hofstra University.
First round victories by #2 Albany, #3 Yale, #6 Loyola (MD) and Denver will send those four outstanding squads to Hofstra for the NCAA Quarterfinals at James M. Shuart Stadium on Saturday, May 19. Games are scheduled for 12 and 2:30 p.m. with Yale taking on Loyola (MD) in the first contest and Albany facing Denver is the second game. Two recent National Champions will play at Shuart as Denver won the title in 2015 and Loyola won it all in 2012.
The games will feature three of the Tewaaraton Award finalists with Trevor Baptiste (Denver), Ben Reeves (Yale) and Pat Spencer (Loyola).
In first round action, Albany defeated Richmond (18-9), Yale was victorious over Massachusetts (15-13), Loyola (MD) earned the win over Virginia (14-12) and Denver defeated Notre Dame (9-7).
As a reminder, chairback seating at Shuart Stadium for the quarterfinals has SOLD OUT.
General admission seating is $30 for adults and $20 for youth/students/seniors (62+). Reserved parking passes are also on sale for $20 (one per every four tickets ordered), with north campus parking available for $15 on game day. Special group pricing is also available for groups of 20 or more. In addition, large groups have the opportunity to purchase limited tailgating space in advance of the event. Reserved parking on the south side of campus (closest to Shuart Stadium) WILL sell out soon so we urge you to purchase your tickets and reserved parking passes soon. There will be additional parking located on Hofstra’s north campus and Shuart Stadium will be easily accessible using the pedestrian bridge located at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike, Earle Ovington Boulevard and Uniondale Avenue.
Hofstra is hosting the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals for the 10th time since 1997. The University was named as one of the two sites for the 2018 Quarterfinals, with the United States Naval Academy serving as the other site. Hofstra will host the quarterfinals each year through 2022.
