“Professor Zychowicz embodies the kind of excellence that we look for when we decide to whom to give the distinguished professorship,” said President Stuart Rabinowitz during Professor Zychowicz’s investiture. He’s a scholar, a great teacher, a mentor to students, and his service to the university is incomparable.”
Since joining the faculty of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, Professor Zychowicz has taught a wide range of finance courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive MBA levels. He has served as faculty adviser to the Financial Management Association and the Graduate Finance Association (two of Hofstra’s student organizations), as well as a faculty mentor to students participating in competitions such as the CFA Institute Global Investment Research Challenge. Professor Zychowicz has published 32 works, including a paper that received recognition in Bloomberg Businessweek and Barclay Insider Report.
After his investiture by President Rabinowitz, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Gail Simmons and Zarb School Dean Herman Berliner, Professor Zychowicz, thanked his colleagues for their support.
“I am beyond grateful to receive this honor,” said Professor Zychowicz. “I have been fortunate to have worked alongside such wonderful, talented people in this department and look forward to my continued service at Hofstra.”
Professor Zychowicz is past chair of the Department of Finance and currently serves as co-director of the Center for International Financial Services and Markets. He is also the recipient of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business Dean’s Service Award.
