Late Spring, Fewer Bugs

Lisa Filippi, PhD, associate professor of biology, spoke with Fox 5 NY‘s Jodi Goldberg about how the late start to spring could mean fewer mosquitoes this year.  Dr. Filippi, an expert on insect behavior, notes that continuous colder temperatures may have killed many mosquito eggs that were waiting on warmer weather to hatch.
