Brenda Elsey at New School Discussion

Dr. Brenda Elsey, associate professor of history, will be at the New School to participate in a discussion on Pablo Piccato’s book, A History of Infamy: Crime, Truth, and Justice in Mexico. The program is taking place Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at 6 East 16th Street in Manhattan. 

Dr. Elsey studies the history of popular culture and politics in twentieth century Latin America, in addition to gender, social theory, and Pan-Americanism. She has been the co-director of the Latin American and Caribbean Studies program at Hofstra since 2008 and directed the Women’s Studies program from 2009 to 2013.
