The School of Education has launched a new online, peer-reviewed journal, Special Education Research, Policy & Practice, committed to advancing the professional development of special education professionals through research, policy, and practice. Edited by Professor George Giuliani, J.D., Psy.D., the inaugural issue was published in November 2017.
The dozen published works in the first issue include research papers on gender differences in the adoption of learning approaches among students who are deaf; facilitating first words through shared book reading in young children with language delays; United Arab Emirates University students’ attitudes towards students with disabilities; and students with Asperger’s Syndrome participating in recess.
Special Education Research, Policy & Practice welcomes new contributions based on original work of practitioners and researchers with specific focus on or implications for the field of special education. For more information, please contact Dr. Giuliani at 516-463-5143.
