Celebrating Ada Lovelace

Ada Lovelace Day, named for the 19th-century mathematician who pioneered computational programming, is a worldwide event highlighting the achievements of women in science. This year, Hofstra will commemorate the day with a presentation by Cassia Martin, Senior Security Engineer at Amazon.

Martin, who earned an MS in Computer Science from Harvard University and has more than ten years of professional experience in systems, security, and programming will discuss, “Thinking Like an Attacker:  An Introduction to Red Team Security”.

The event is being hosted by Hofstra’s Cultural Center and the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering on Wednesday, October 11th at 11:15am in the Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theatre and is open to the public. The Hofstra community and several local high schools have been invited to attend.
