Fine Arts Spring Showcase

Hundreds of paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, and works of 3D, design and new media will be on display at Calkins Hall, as fine arts students show off their best works of the year. The Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History presents their annual Student Art Show May 3-21, 2017.

The opening reception for the show is Wednesday, May 3, during Common Hour (11:30 a.m.-12:40 p.m.) at the Rosenberg Gallery, located on the first floor of Calkins Hall. There will be music and refreshments, and awards are given to recognize the finest student art work in a variety of categories.

This year’s guest judge is Ashton Cooper, gallery director at Nicelle Beauchene Gallery in New York. She previously worked as artist liaison for Maccarone, NYC, as well as news editor at Louise Blouin Media, where she edited’s primary art blog, In the Air, and contributed to Modern Painters. She has also written for Art + Auction, Art in America’s website, Artspace, and Jezabel.
