Dr. Greg DeFreitas: Wage Gap Between College Grads and Others at All Time High

Gregory DeFreitas
Associated Press

The Associated Press references a study by Dr. Gregory DeFreitas, director of the Center for the Study of Labor and Democracy for an article about the wage gap between college-educated workers and those who have with no more than a high school diploma. The article says that the earnings gap between college grads and everyone else “has reached its widest point on record.”

The article says that the pattern is true on Long Island and points to Dr. DeFreitas’ research that showed that “by age 29, Long Island millennials with a bachelor’s degree or higher averaged 90 percent more in annual earnings than their cohorts with just a high school diploma.”
