Kalikow Center Panel to Examine Pres Election

Senior Presidential Fellows Howard B. Dean III and Edward J. Rollins, and Wall Street Journal national political reporter Reid J. Epstein will dissect the volatile 2016 presidential election, and try to discern what to expect from a Trump administration during a panel discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

“What Was the President-elect’s Road to Victory in 2016” will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Student Center Theater, Mack Student Center, North Campus. Meena Bose, Director, Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency, and Lawrence Levy, Executive Dean, National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University.

The Kalikow Center and the Suburban Studies Center are co-sponsors of the panel. Event is free and open to the public.  Registration is requested, but not required. For more information call the Hofstra Cultural Center at 516-463-5669.

Howard B. Dean III and Edward J. Rollins have been a senior presidential fellows at the Kalikow Center since 2009.

Dean is a former governor of Vermont and Democratic presidential candidate who ran the Democratic National Committee from 2005-2009. Rollins is a Republican political strategist, who has served in key managerial roles in 10 presidential campaigns and four presidential administrations, including two stints as Assistant to the President.

Reid J. Epstein has covered national politics at The Wall Street Journal since 2014, and is lead writer for the Journal’s Washington Wire blog. He covered the White House and the 2012 presidential campaign for POLITICO, and has also worked at Newsday and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
