Dr. Andrea Nerlich Among Springfield College “40 Under 40” Honorees

Andrea Perkins Nerlich, PhD, program director and associate professor of Rehabilitation Counseling programs in the School of Health Professions and Human Services, was named to Springfield College’s inaugural list of “40 Under 40” alumni who were recognized for their ability to “inspire, influence and impact others personally and professionally.” 

Dr. Nerlich earned a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services in 1998, as well as a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2000, from Springfield College, located in Springfield, Massachusetts. She received her PhD from Michigan State University and joined Hofstra University in 2006, where teaches courses in rehabilitation counseling and mental health counseling related to assessment, the psychosocial response to disability, transition services, and career development.

She and other “40 Under 40” award recipients will be honored in a ceremony at Springfield College’s Judd Gymnasia on March 25, 2017, at 7 pm.
