W.E.B. DU BOIS: A Man for All Times, Sept. 25

Hofstra University continues its Debate 2016 event series, as it welcomes New York’s Pulse Ensemble Theatre to campus on Sunday, Sept. 25. The ensemble will deliver a dramatic performance of “W.E.B. Du Bois: A Man for All Times.”

Du Bois was a civil rights activist who fought tirelessly for anti-lynching laws. He believed in women’s rights, and the right for all people to have work, free education and medical coverage. Written and directed by Alexa Kelly and featuring Brian Richardson, this drama offers a humorous, touching and enlightening account of Du Bois’ life.

The performance is co-sponsored by the New Opportunities at Hofstra (NOAH) Program and the Hofstra Cultural Center and will be held at The Helene Fortunoff Theater, Monroe Lecture Center, South Campus, at 3 p.m. Tickets are available through the Hofstra Box Office by calling 516-463-6644, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Limit two free tickets per person.
