Hofstra will host its second annual Day of Giving – a 24-hour, online giving initiative – on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Day of Giving encourages alumni, parents and friends to make a gift to the university that says they stand with Hofstra.
Day of Giving is an opportunity to reflect on one’s Hofstra experience, celebrate the place that many call home, and support the university’s hardworking student body.
There will be a student celebration held in front of Hofstra Hall (rain location: student center) on May 3 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. As a special Senior Class Gift incentive, all seniors who have made their senior class gift by the end of Day of Giving will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to the Hofstra Gala on May 5th.
Donors can designate and dedicate their gifts on the online giving page. Due to the short timeframe of Day of Giving, gifts via mail and check are not counted towards the day’s totals. If you would like to make a gift via a credit/debit card over the phone, please contact Julie Palmedo, Director for Annual Giving at (516) 463-6336.
