Adjunct Assistant Professor of Accounting, Taxation, and Legal Studies in Business Linda Schain serves as the Atlantic Coast Chapter Advocate for Beta Alpha Psi and a member of their Board of Directors.
One of her responsibilities is to assist universities that are petitioning to create a new chapter on their campus. After a chapter is in the petitioning stage for a few years, Professor Schain makes a site visit to evaluate the chapters’ progress, where she meets with students, faculty, administration and the local business community to determine if the chapter has their support and will be sustainable. After the visit, a recommendation is made to the Beta board. In the fall of 2015, Professor Schain visited five universities, all of which were installed in the spring. Professor Schain installed The Nu Mu Chapter at Washington and Lee University in Virginia, the Nu Lambda Chapter at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, The Nu Omicron Chapter at Iona College, the Nu Sigma Chapter at Fairleigh Dickinson University and recommended the installation of the Nu Xi Chapter at Sienna College.
