Hofstra University is excited to announce that it will be sending four undergraduate students to The Washington Center’s 2016 Convention Academic Seminars. This is the third consecutive time the university will be participating in these conventions.
Two students will have the opportunity to attend the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, which runs from July 16-30, 2016, and two will attend the Republican National Convention from July 9-23 in Cleveland. Students will also have the chance to earn academic credit for the seminars under the supervision of Dr. Meena Bose, Director, Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency, or Dr. Richard Himelfarb, Associate Professor of Political Science.
To be considered for this program, students must fill out the application form and return it via e-mail to WashingtonSeminar@hofstra.edu by 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016. The selection committee will hold small-group interviews for finalists on Monday, February 22, 2016, and all applicants must be able to participate for further consideration. Students are encouraged to refer to their Hofstra email in addition to the Center’s website, http://www.twc.edu/seminars/campaign2016, for more information, and to contact Dr. Bose at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
