Online MBA and Grad Ed Programs Rank Among Best in Nation

Hofstra University’s online MBA program is ranked 55th in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report, ranking higher than any other such program in the New York City metropolitan area .
The online MBA, offered by the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, ranked exceptionally high for faculty credentials and training, which came in at No. 7 of the 221 ranked schools, and student engagement, which ranked 19th. Launched in 2011, Hofstra’s online MBA offers two concentrations: strategic business management and strategic health care management.

Meanwhile, the School of Education’s online MSEd in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies ranked 110th, according to U.S. News & World Report. The program also scored high in faculty credentials and training, at 79 of the 252 ranked schools, as well as for admissions selectivity, which ranked 82nd. The School of Education offers two online master’s degree programs, including a new fully online MSEd in Special Education: International Perspectives that launched in fall 2015.

U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 best online programs, released earlier this week, evaluated programs based on a number of factors, including selectivity, graduation rates, accreditation, opportunities for interaction with faculty and classmates, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.
