In the wake of deadly terrorist attacks in Beirut and Paris, Hofstra University will hold a Vigil for Peace on Wednesday, November 18 to honor the victims and come together as a community to support the values of unity, tolerance and freedom.
The vigil on will be held outside Hofstra Hall, South Campus, at 6 p.m. It is sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and will be hosted by the university’s Interfaith Center.
The Interfaith Center, Room 213, Mack Student Center, North Campus, and the Prayer and Reflection Space, Room 201 Mack Student Center, are also available for members of the Hofstra community seeking support or counsel.
On Thursday, terrorist attacks in Beirut killed 43 people, and on Friday, attacks at six locations in Paris, left 129 dead and more than 300 injured.
