The Department of Political Science is organizing a trip for students to New Hampshire so they can experience three days of intense campaigning preceding the presidential primary. The trip is scheduled for February 6-8, 2016. Students can expect to attend candidate events, interact with local experts and national media, and perhaps even shake hands with the next president of the United States.
Held after the Iowa Caucuses, the New Hampshire primary chooses the delegates who will serve at the national party conventions.
The registration deadline is Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the Department of Political Science, 204 Barnard Hall, South Campus. Space is limited.
For more information email Professor David Green.
The trip is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs; Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and its Peter S. Kalikow School of School of Government, Public Policy and International Affairs; Hofstra University Honors College; the Center for Civic Engagement; and First-Year Connections.
