Community Saltzman Center

Happy Halloween from Hofstra’s Child Care Institute

The Diane Lindner-Goldberg Child Care Institute (CCI) at the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center was a sea of miniature superheroes, Disney princesses, police, firefighters and cuddly animals on Friday, October 30. Every year CCI hosts a Halloween party on the playground for the children and their picture-taking parents.

CCI focuses on the child’s total development – social, emotional, cognitive and physical. The program offers developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 8 weeks to 5 years, providing opportunities for hands-on, integrated learning. CCI has been reaccredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the leading organization of early childhood professionals. Nationwide, only 8 percent of all preschools and other early childhood programs are NAEYC-accredited.
