For the third year in a row, students and faculty from Hofstra’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program were on the set of NBC’s Today Show in New York City for National PA Week, held annually from Oct. 6 to 12 to increase awareness of the profession and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
More than 60 Hofstra students and faculty joined other PA students from across the state on Oct. 6 to support the “PAs on the Plaza” event, organized by the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
“The sea of white coats in 30 Rock was a great way to promote awareness of the physician assistant career and bring attention to the importance of PAs in America,” said Megan Dauscher ’17. “It was a great way to start PA week.”
Forbes.com recently rated the PA field number one on its list of 25 most promising careers for millennials.
