New Hofstra Chamber Orchestra Performs Debut Concert, April 28

The new Hofstra Chamber Orchestra makes its debut this Tuesday, April 28, at 8 p.m. when it performs in concert with the Hofstra University Choir at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus.

The Hofstra Chamber Orchestra, directed by Professor Adam Glaser, incorporates strings, woodwinds and harpsichord. Works by Boyce, Britten and Holst will be performed.

The Hofstra University Choir, directed by Professor Cindy Bell, will perform works by Vecchi, Mozart, Stroope and Ellington.

Members of the Hofstra community receive up to two free tickets upon presentation of a current HofstraCard. Tickets are $10; $8 senior citizen or matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID.  For tickets, please call the John Cranford Adams Playhouse Box Office at 516-463-6644 (Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-3:45 p.m.).
