Hofstra’s Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History is presenting its annual Spring Student Art Show from April 29-May 9, 2015 at Calkins Hall. The show features more than 300 of pieces of artwork created by more than 100 Hofstra students in painting, drawing, 3D, photography, design and new media.
There will be an opening reception for the art show during Common Hour (11:15 a.m.-12:40 p.m.) on Wednesday, April 29, at the Rosenberg Gallery, located on the first floor of Calkins Hall. There will be music and refreshments, and awards will be given for the best work from each discipline, as well as the Outside Juror Award and the Hofstra University Purchase Award ($1,000). This year’s Outside Juror is alumna Nicole Barth ’05, co-owner and creative director, Ronik Design.
