Hofstra University’s student-run FORM gallery, located in Calkins Hall on the South Campus, presents Bare by Kat Deiner. A senior from Doylestown, PA, Deiner is the current president of FORM and will graduate in May with double major in Art History and Fine Arts.
Deiner says, “Bare explores the contours of the female form through abstract self-portraiture.” She highlights the beauty of the body through her use of light and color. Inspired by world-renowned artists like Vincent van Gogh, Deiner’s works are a marriage of abstract and naturalistic styles.
After graduation, Deiner plans to travel, explore her artistic passions and prepare for graduate school.
Bare is on display through Saturday, April 25. There will be an opening ceremony on Tuesday, April 21, 6 p.m. For a preview of Deiner’s work, visit katdeiner.weebly.com.
