Hofstra University is presenting its spring 2015 Make-a-Thon/Hack-a-Thon on Thursday, April 16, at the Calkins Lab (room 106). Students of all academic backgrounds and levels of expertise are invited to participate.
The Make-a-Thon (7-10 p.m.) gives students the opportunity to engage in robot-themed activities, featuring the latest technologies. Special hands-on activities include 3D printing, basic electronics, and robotics. There will also be door prizes and refreshments. Students and faculty are welcome to stop by at any time.
The Hack-a-Thon (7 p.m.-7 a.m.) is an all-night coding competition where teams of four students each will create games and applications that promote harmony for the Hofstra Community. Judging will take place at 7 a.m. on Friday, April 17.
