The game will air in the New York area on SNY (check local listings for broadcast information in your area) and will also be available on CAA.tv and the Pride Productions portal.
The audio only broadcast, featuring Julian Coltre, Andrew Fertitta and Chris Buckley, will be available on the Pride Productions portal as well. The audio broadcast can also be heard locally on WRHU (88.7 FM) with the pregame show starting at 2 p.m.
Both squads will bring identical 19-12 overall records into the quarterfinal match-up. Hofstra went 10-8 in league play this year, while the Dukes tied for the regular season crown with a 12-6 mark in CAA action.
Hofstra heads into the postseason with the nation’s eighth-best improvement over last season as the Pride has seen a 10-game improvement over last season. UC Davis leads the nation with a 15-game improvement and there are only 12 schools in the entire nation that have seen an improvement of at least 10 games.
The game will be a rematch of the regular season finale as the Dukes captured an 82-73 decision over the Pride on Saturday. The regular season finale saw James Madison jump out to a 16-point halftime advantage before Hofstra stormed back and eventually got to within three points in the second stanza. Hofstra got a strong game from sophomore guard Brian Bernardi, who tallied a game-high 22 points in the contest.
Hofstra’s 19 wins are the most in a regular season since the 2010-11 squad won 20 games during the regular season en route to a 21-win campaign.
Hofstra will be the five seed in the tournament, while JMU earned the number four seed. It is the Pride’s highest seed in the conference tournament since being the three seed in 2011.
The winner of the Hofstra/James Madison quarterfinal game will advance to the semifinals on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. That game will air nationally on the NBC Sports Network.
