Hofstra Athletics Recognizes Its Provost’s List Student-Athletes

HOFSTRA ATHLETICS RECOGNIZES ITS PROVOST’S LIST STUDENT-ATHLETES

Hempstead, NY – It was an impressive showing in the classroom by many Hofstra University student-athletes during the fall 2014 semester as 13 had perfect 4.0 grade point averages, earning them Provost’s List honors. 

In addition, 206 Pride student-athletes had a 3.0 grade point average or better during the fall semester.

“We continue to be proud of the incredible work our Hofstra student-athletes do in the classroom on a regular basis,” commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeffrey A. Hathaway. “What an outstanding accomplishment to earn Provost’s List recognition. Congratulations to all the Pride student-athletes on seeking excellence in the classroom, on the fields of play and in the community.”

The 13 Hofstra student-athletes who earned Provost’s List during the 2014 fall semester were: Becky Celorio (Women’s Cross Country), Henry Crayton(Men’s Soccer), Daniel Grundei (Men’s Soccer), Matilda Hallett (Field Hockey), Erin Havard (Women’s Soccer), Alan Hetherington (Men’s Cross Country), Jeannine Molleda (Women’s Soccer), Jessica Peslak (Softball), Ari Richman (Men’s Tennis), Stella Schoen (Field Hockey), Rachel Simodejka(Softball), Victoria Snak (Women’s Golf) and Megan Tidey (Women’s Cross Country).

The Hofstra Department of Athletics will honor all of its student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average at its annual academic achievement night on Wednesday, February 25 at halftime of the Hofstra versus Charleston men’s basketball game.
