Twelve students in the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication recently returned from a trip to Los Angeles, where they explored career opportunities in the entertainment industry through the inaugural Hofstra in L.A. program.
The students, all communications majors in their junior or senior year, had a full slate of activities through the week, including visits to DreamWorks, NBC Universal and Dick Clark Productions. They networked with Hofstra alumni and industry leaders, received valuable career advice and even met the school’s namesake, Pantone Matching System creator Dr. Lawrence Herbert ’51.
