On January 4, 2015, an intrepid group of Hofstra students and professors left New York to spend a magical two and a half weeks in Venice. This popular study abroad program runs each January and gives students an opportunity to learn about the Italian culture, make new friendships, travel and earn three credits. The Hofstra in Venice program, directed by Professor Maria Fixell, is offered by Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Romance Languages and Literature. This year classes are being offered in Art History, Comparative Literature, Italian 2, Italian Studies (Venice in Film) and International Business/Marketing.
