Hofstra Senior Presidential Fellows Howard B. Dean III and Edward J. Rollins, along with NY1 political reporter Josh Robin, will review the midterm elections and look ahead to the 2016 presidential race at a panel discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 18 sponsored by the Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency and the National Center for Suburban Studies.
The panel, “Understanding the 2014 Midterm Elections and Consequences for 2016”, will be held in the Student Center Theater, North Campus, from 9:30-11 a.m. Admission is free and open to the public. A live webcast of the event will also be available.
The panel will be moderated by Meena Bose, director of the Kalikow Center, and Lawrence Levy, executive dean of the suburban studies center.
Dean is former Democratic National Committee Chairman, Democratic presidential candidate and six-term governor of Vermont. Rollins is a Republican political strategist who has served in the administrations of four presidents, and has had managerial roles in 10 presidential campaigns. Dean and Rollins have been senior fellows with the Kalikow Center since 2009.
Josh Robin has been a political reporter and anchor at NY1 since 2005, and is a frequent guest shot for “Inside City Hall”, the station’s nightly political program. He has also worked at Newsday and the Seattle Times.
