Hofstra University’s FORM student gallery in Calkins Hall, South Campus, presents #PRIDEnotPLASTIC by Tsz Hin Tang. A junior from Hong Kong, Tang is majoring in Business Management.
#PRIDEnotPLASTIC is a photo gallery featuring ‘Go Green Art’, created to raise awareness about the harmful presence of plastic in nature. Tang’s photography shows plastic bags in various places they do not belong. Tang, an activist and president of Students for a Greener Hofstra, would like this “green gallery” to be a first step in his campaign against plastic bags on campus. Tang encourages the purchase and usage of reusable tote bags and hopes that someday plastic bags will be banned.
#PRIDEnotPLASTIC is on display through Saturday, November 8.
The FORM Gallery is located on the first floor of Calkins Hall, South Campus. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information call the Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History at 516-463-5474.
