MIDNIGHT MADNESS Just Days Away

Midnight Madness

One of the most exciting events of the year is just days away as the Hofstra University Department of Athletics is excited to host MIDNIGHT MADNESS this Thursday, October 16 from 8-9:30 p.m. in the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

This great event will be the first opportunity for members of the Hofstra community – including fans, staff members and most importantly our AWESOME students – to see the Hofstra Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams in action.

The event will be JAM-PACKED with tons to see and do starting from the opening minute.

Fans will get to see great performances from some of the best student groups that Hofstra has to offer, including Imani Dance Ensemble, Strictly Steppin’ and transcenDANCE. In addition, Hofstra’s great dance team, pep band and cheerleaders will also be in attendance.

The moment everyone will be waiting for will be the introductions of the 2014-15 Pride Basketball teams. Serving as emcee of the evening’s events will be the voice of the Mack Sports Complex – Siddique Farooqi. He will be joined on the BRAND-NEW court by Head Coaches Joe Mihalich and Krista Kilburn-Steveskey and their group of talented student-athletes.

If seeing and meeting the 2014-15 Pride isn’t enough, there will be plenty of giveaways and prizes available at MIDNIGHT MADNESS. The first 750 fans in attendance will receive an exclusive gold t-shirt to showcase on opening night on November 14. In addition, a Hofstra student will have the opportunity to earn free books for a year if they sink a half-court shot. We aren’t done yet – as there will also be a $500 JetBlue voucher available, along with a gift certificate from Napolini Express Pizza. In addition there will be will be a FREE tailgate, sponsored by Noodles and Company, for all Hofstra students.

MIDNIGHT MADNESS is FREE and open to the public.
