Hofstra celebrates LGBTQIA Heritage Month, with a reception on Wednesday, October 15, at 11:15 a.m, during common hour. The reception features keynote speaker Micah Jesse ’09, a noted entertainment and pop culture expert. Micah also runs MicahJesse.com, an entertainment and lifestyle blog he founded as an undergraduate. The event, which takes place in the Multipurpose Room West, Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, also includes Hofstra faculty speakers, activities, educational displays, food, and giveaways.

National Coming Out/Jeans Day

Please join the Office of Student Leadership and Activities in celebrating National Coming Out Day by wearing jeans to collectively show our support for the LGBTQIA community. Jeans Day began at Rutgers University in 1974 as a way to promote equal rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning individuals. Members of the Hofstra community dressed in professional attire may pick up a jean patch that can be worn to show your support.

Pride Network Drag Show
