Hofstra University has been named to the 2015 Military Friendly School List, which recognizes the top 15 percent of colleges and universities that do the most to embrace members of the military, veterans and their spouses. It is the second consecutive year Hofstra has made the list.
The 2015 list of Military Friendly Schools ®, compiled by Victory Media and in its sixth year, is a data-driven survey of more than 8,000 schools nationwide approved for post-9/11 GI Bill funding. The survey scores institutions in several categories, including military support on campus, veteran graduation rates, program flexibility for military students and military spouse policies.
The survey results that comprise the 2015 list were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology established by Victory Media.
Earlier this month, U.S News & World Report recognized Hofstra #36 on its list of Best Colleges for Veterans.
