The Licensing Resource Group (LRG), a trademark management company specializing in collegiate licensing and branding, is pleased to announce that Hofstra University has signed an exclusive agreement allowing LRG to represent the university and its domestic licensing program.
Hofstra University is the largest private university on Long Island, with a total enrollment of more than 10,500. The university is consistently cited on the “Best College” lists of publications such as U.S. News and World Report, Princeton Review and Forbes. Hofstra is also one of only two universities chosen to host consecutive US Presidential Debates (2008 and 2012). Athletically, the Pride competes at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association.
LRG has been hired to help maximize exposure opportunities for Hofstra product as well as assist in the day-to-day management of the university’s trademark licensing program. LRG will manage this program regionally from its Bristol, Rhode Island location.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Hofstra,” said Lewis Hardy, president and CEO of LRG. “Hofstra is a vibrant university with many unique attributes, and we believe that we can help increase the impact of the Pride’s brand both on Long Island and beyond.”
“We are thrilled to enter into this agreement with LRG,” commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeffrey A. Hathaway. “Expanding, marketing, promoting and protecting the Hofstra brand is very important to the entire University, and we look forward to working closely with LRG as we expand our footprint in the local, regional and national areas. Thanks to everyone who played a role in making such an important development for Hofstra University come to fruition.”
