This week Hofstra welcomes the first orientation group for the Class of 2018. The first session welcomed over 180 incoming students from across the country, introducing them to all that Hofstra has to offer.
During the three-day orientation, students meet some of their classmates and learn about campus resources and departments. Events address topics ranging from campus safety to extracurricular activities, as well as a model class based on this year’s common reading book The Honor Code by Kwame Anthony Appiah.
Orientation is a great way for first-year students to get a glimpse of life at Hofstra and a taste of living in a college residence hall. We look forward to welcoming the rest of the Class of 2018 as the summer continues!
