How’s this for a classroom setting? The 12 students in Hofstra’s Sorrento program have the opportunity to study Italian language and literature while enjoying this beautiful coastline destination known for its rock beaches, breathtaking ocean vistas and many opportunities for touring, fun and relaxation. Students appreciate Sorrento’s proximity to the posh island retreats of Capri and Ischia, the archeological sites of Pompei and Herculaneum, the picturesque seaside town of Positano, and the breathtaking Amalfi coast.
Hofstra’s host school, Sorrento Lingue Centro Linguistico Internazionale, is located in the heart of historic Sorrento in a former convent, the Istituto Sant’Anna. The school is only 50 meters from the dramatic coastline and has both sea and garden views.
Hofstra in Sorrento ends June 22. Visit hofstra.edu/studyabroad for more information on this and other Hofstra study abroad opportunities.
