A Dutch Treat! Hofstra Celebrates 31st Annual Dutch Festival, May 4

One of Long Island’s favorite annual events, the Hofstra Dutch Festival, is celebrating its 31st anniversary on Sunday, May 4, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Cipriano Nursery’s annual plant sale, a full schedule of live entertainment, tulips in bloom (weather permitting), craft vendors, children’s activities and authentic Dutch food and beverages.

Performances include –

  • The Hofstra String Quartet
  • Hofstra student talent from the University’s Chamber Choir, Vocal Jazz Quartet and Jazz Ensemble.
  • The Hofstra String Quartet
  • The Nassau-Suffolk High School Jazz Ensemble
  • Dutch-born singer and entertainer Frans Bloem returns to the Hofstra stage.
  • The East End Trio, one of Long Island’s premier live music groups
  • New York’s Most Dangerous Big Band

Entertainment is co-sponsored by The D’Addario Foundation.

Admission to the Festival is $7 general public, $5 senior citizen and free for children under 12. Members of the Hofstra community may be Dutch Festival Vendor resized for webadmitted free upon presentation of a current HofstraCard.
