Hofstra University congratulates playwright Annie Baker for winning the Pulitzer Prize for her play The Flick. Ms. Baker was on campus on April 2 to participate in Hofstra’s Great Writers, Great Readings Series, where she read a passage from a new play she’s developing. She took time to sign copies of her work and also met with students from the English Department to talk about the craft of writing.

Professor and poet Phillis Levin is the next speaker in the series on Wednesday, April 23, at 7 p.m. This installment of Great Writers, Great Readings will take place at the Guthart Cultural Center Theater, 1st Fl, Axinn Library, South Campus. It is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 516-463-5410.
